John Myers studied Art History and French at New Battle Abbey College in Scotland and fine arts at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts of Paris from 1972 to 1977.
He went on to teach drawing and painting at the City of Paris Beaux Arts from 1986 to 2002. He has been guest lecturer at the British School of Paris. He exhibits widely in France and regularly exhibits in both the United Kingdom and Ireland..
In 2009 he was awarded the 'Grand Prix Maryse Anderbouhr' in Paris.
John Myers will be teaching The History of Painting Techniques from the Renaissance to the present at The Essential School of Painting, London from January 9th - 20th March.
He will also be teaching a Friday morning Oil Painting course begining on the 30th September at The Essential School of Painting.
John will be teaching an On Line Course, An Introduction to Oil Painting at Central St Martins University of the Arts London, Thursdays starting 27th October. See News.
John Myers will be exhibiting at Comparaisons, Art en Capital, Grand Palais, Paris February 2017.
